[Download] Xiaomi Mi 9 gets the April 2020 Security Patch Update

Xiaomi is rolling out the April 2020 Security Patch for their devices and Mi 9 got the update today. The new MIUI update comes with the version number V11.0.6.0.QFAMIXM for Global version and V11.0.9.0.QFAEUXM for EEA (Europe Region) version and brings April 2020 Security patch that increases the Device security. The update weighs around 2.3 GB in size.

Users are getting the update randomly as it is an initial rollout. This staged rollout process confirms the Bugs in the Update, and if no bugs found, the update rollout resumed to the public. You can check the update by going in Settings -> About Phone -> Software update.

How to Flash the New Update on Mi 9

Recovery Version and OTA package Using Updater

Step 1: Unlock the Recovery options to manually install the Update. Open the Updater app and tap on MIUI logo 7-8 times.

Step 2: Download the OTA package given above, and Place it in /downloaded_rom folder of Internal Storage of your Device

Step 3: Launch the Updater app and Click on three dots on the right corner, click on “Choose Update Package”

Step 4: Select the file which you placed in /downloaded_rom. The installation will begin and the device will automatically boot into new MIUI.
