Redmi Note 8T is now getting the August Security patch update on the devices running the Global version of MIUI. The update is based on the MIUI 11 with Android 9 and comes with the version number V11.0.5.0.PCXMIXM.

The update is in the initial rollout phase which means only a number of devices will get the update. The update then will be rolled out to all devices once the ROM confirms to be stable. How to Install/Flash The Update on your Redmi Note 8T

Using Updater

If you want to Upgrade your MIUI then Use this Method. Make sure to Download the OTA package only, Fastboot ROM will not work with Updater.

Step 1: Unlock the Recovery options to manually install the Update. Open the Updater app and tap on the MIUI logo 7-8 times.
Step 2: Download the OTA package given above, and Place it in /downloaded_rom folder of Internal Storage of your Device
Step 3: Launch the Updater app and Click on three dots on the right corner, click on “Choose Update Package”
Step 4: Select the file which you placed in /downloaded_rom. The installation will begin and the device will automatically boot into new MIUI.

Done! You have flashed Stock Firmware for Redmi Note 8T
