Xiaomi is rolling out a new MIUI update for Mi 8 running on the Global version of MIUI. The new update brings the April security patch and comes with the version number V11.0.4.0.QEAMIXM. Aside from the April security patch, the update comes with a couple of new features in Applock and various bugs fixes and optimization in the overall OS.
Users are getting the Update in batches as it is a Staged rollout process. After the initial rollout, that will roll out to random users, the update will be pushed to the public if no major bugs found. You can check the new update in the Software Updater app in the About Phone section found in Settings. However, if you can’t wait for the public rollout, you can download the ROM form the post and flash it manually using given instructions.
Speaking of Mi 8, it was released back in May 2018 with flagship specs. It is powered by the Snapdragon 845 and Adreno 630. The display is a 6.23 inches Super AMOLED panel with Full HD+ resolution. It was released in 4 variants: 64GB 6GB RAM, 128GB 6GB RAM, 128GB 8GB RAM, and 256GB 6GB RAM. It houses a dual-camera setup on the back of two 12 MP lenses, one of which is the primary 1.4µm lens and the other is a telephoto lens. It is fueled by the 3400 mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.
