[Official] Download and Install LineageOS 14.1 on Oneplus one (No Root)

The OnePlus One is an Android smartphone manufactured by OnePlus. It is the first product by OnePlus. Oneplus One was a perfect smartphone for a cheap price. Oneplus one was shipped with Oxygen OS which was based on CyanogenMod. CyanogenMod was discontinued and LineageOS took the throne. And as we know, Oneplus not going to release any Nougat Update for Oneplus one so LineageOS for Oneplus one is the best choice for anyone who wants the Android Nougat experience. Lineage OS is a Stable ROM and ready for daily use.

How to install LineageOS on Oneplus One

Step 1: Unlock the Bootloader

Step 2: Flash the Custom recovery

Step 3: Flash the ROM and Gapps using Custom Recovery

Let’s see all Steps in detail:

Step 1: Unlock the Bootloader

• Enable Android Debugging and Connect the Phone to PC via USB
• Open a command prompt (on Windows) or terminal (on Linux or macOS) window, and type:

adb reboot bootloader

• The device is in fastboot mode and You can check it by typing

fastboot devices

• Now type the following command to unlock the bootloader

fastboot oem unlock

This will Unlock the Bootloader

Step 3: Flash the Custom Recovery

• Download the recovery(Download link at end of post) and move it to a new folder.
• Rename the Downloaded recovery to “recovery”
• Go the folder where recovery is placed, hold Shift + Right Click
• Click on “Open Command window here”
• Type this on Command window

fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

• This will flash the Custom recovery in Oneplus one
• Type this in command window

fastboot reboot

The Device will Reboot and Custom recovery is installed on the device

Step 3: Flash the ROM and Gapps

• Download The LineageOS and Gapps and move them to the sd card
• Enter recovery mode by
• Power off device
• Press Volume Down + Power Button
• Click on Wipe and then Format Data
• Click on Install and install the LineageOS ROM file
• Click on Install and install Gapps file
• LineageOS and Gapps are now Installed.
